The Store

The Fin and Feather Shop was first opened in March of 1990 in a small store on the outskirts of Essex Massachusetts. In 1993, with the increases in the striped bass population and striper fishermen--in fly fishing, surf fishing and boat fishing--we realized that we needed to expand in size and inventory so we relocated.

The store is now located in downtown Essex on Main Street, adjacent to the Essex River, which is one of the best-kept secrets in the striped bass fishery: lots of fish, lots of big fish. The fishing opportunities on the Essex River are endless: fast moving rips, sight casting the flats on the backside of Cranes Beach or casting for miles of marsh banks.
